Instructional objectives
       Content objective:  Students will continue to learn about Greek mythology by reading myths.
       Language  objective: Students will summarize Greek myths using an organizer.
State standards
       1.3 Demonstrate an  understanding of significant events and themes in world history.
       2.1 Access and  gather information from a variety of primary and secondary sources.       
       2.3 Create various  forms of written work to demonstrate an understanding of history and social studies issues.
Initiation
       -Highlight main  aspects of day’s lesson
       	-We  will read two myths and watch clips from Clash  of the Titans
       -Review previous  class
       	-Run  down the questions in the organizer for the three myths we read last time
       		-Where  did the myth take place?
       		-Who  and what are the characters?
     			-What  happens in the myth?
       		-What  is the purpose of the myth?
Procedures activities
       -Read two more  myths
      	 -Work  in pairs like last time
 		     -Take  turns reading
       -Fill out myth  organizer like we did last class
    	     -Answer  questions (which they are familiar with from last class)
       -Watch clips from  Clash of the Titans
       	-Put  desks back as a transition
       	-Review  guiding questions at the bottom of page
       	-BRIEFLY  summarize the movie
       	-Play  the movie and guide students through questions as you go
Closure 
       -Get students  thinking about final assessment
       	-Myths  answer questions. I want you to think about what kind of question you might like to  answer in a myth of your own.
       	-Leave  everything on desk with name on it for grading. Also leave previous day’s work

       -Collect past two  days of work 
       	-Grade  it based on how many columns are filled out and…
